before the word, put the code, and then RIGHT after the single word, put the code again with a slash in front of the B or U for Bold or Underline. That tells it to end the code after the word so it won't do the whole sentence.

You have to type what you want underlined in the box. Nothing more. Then once you have added in the code see if it will let you type something else in that won't be like that. Or, try highlighting the sentence section you want and try the code that way, if not then go to the myspace help page. Good luck.

you probably forgot to type in the %26lt;/u%26gt; or %26lt;/b%26gt; after the words you want underlined. Otherwise, it's going to bold or underline everything.

2. Remove any code you got from that site to hide your comments.

Use Adblock or Adblock Plus (freeware). I don't think they are available on Internet Explorer but if not then download Mozilla Firefox - much nicer than crusty old IE anyway.

1. Where ever you got that code from, avoid getting code from that site. That is about the worst strategy I have ever seen for hiding comments, even before the new classes were introduced.
2. Remove any code you got from that site to hide your comments.

Your best bet would be to make a layout. Pimp-my-profile.com has a great profile editor tool that allows you to build your entire page exactly the way you want to. The color code for white is ffffff.

1. pick the layout and look for the code the website provides(usually right below the image, or it'll say "click here to get this layout")
2. copy the code.
3. log into your myspace so it's on your home page and hit edit profile.
4. paste the code that you copied into your "about me" section.
5. save that and then view your profile and your new layout should be up.

Do you mean the number of characters, as in "ABC" %26lt;-- 3? If so, then there's no such code. This is a MySpace ( http://myspace.com ) limitation.
You could try to "get around it" by placing nan absolutely positioned div in your "About Me" that is positioned over your headline.
You may want to checkout Yuniti ( http://yuniti.com ), they allow for larger headlines and the headline is an ACTUAL headline (really big across the top of the page ).

if that doesn't work go to edit profile, account settings (which will be on the top in blue with white lettering) and go down to privacy settings, then click on the topic beside privacy settings and a new screen comes up and go down to hide online now icon and check the box, and then go down and click change settings, then put in your code in the about me section and see if that works. I had to do this and it worked for me, not sure of what else to do if that doesn't work. good luck

Yup. If you get it off of YouTube, which I recommend, you can copy the embed code %26amp; tweak it so that it plays automatically %26amp; is hidden on the page.
To do that, start off by copying the embed code on the YouTube page. Just to make sure, it should begin with "%26lt;object ". Next, paste the code in your Myspace editor, and erase everything that is in the code that comes before "%26lt;embed%26gt;" %26amp; after "%26lt;/embed%26gt;".
When you've stripped down the code like that, you should see one url inside quotations. Click in between the last character of the url %26amp; the closing quote, %26amp; type this:

First of all, how would you know their friends are hidden if the profile is on private?.. But anyway, if you are on their profile and their friends are hidden look at the address bar it will look kinda like this profilemyspace/index.cfm?fus eaction=userview profile%26amp;friendid=xxxxxxxxx the X's are where the Friend ID is.. copy the ID only. Then goto YOUR friends list.. like View All Friends or something like that. then look at the address bar and take YOUR friend ID out and put theirs in place of it.. and that should do it..
